Elegant little walnut table, dating from the 16th century, resting on four baluster-turned columns rising from dice decorated with knobs. A square brace, also turned into a baluster, connects each leg. There is a drawer in the waistband. The top is bordered by a delightful frieze of palmettes.
The turning of the wood and knobs is characteristic of Northern Italy, as is the patina. The proportions of this table are also perfectly balanced. The quality of the walnut used adds to its elegance.
