An important example of Burgundian decorative arts from the early 17th century, this extremely rare gilded and carved wood frame is distinguished by its large dimensions. Its relief decoration is also interesting. In fact, the profusion of plant motifs, including vines, grapes and other foliage, is complemented by a few animal figures, such as birds and snakes. Another special feature is the delicacy of the openwork vine branches.
